Paul Cohen and Daniel Rodríguez from Seibo attended the TOOLS 2011 conference organized at ETH Zürich. They where also invited by professor of software engineering at ETH Bertrand Meyer to give a talk at the Eiffel Design Feast on Eiffel in REST-based web services, which was held in connection to the TOOLS conference. Seibo also participated in a couple of workshops with researchers at the software engineering department of ETH and discussed web service gateway protocols for Eiffel and Eiffel-based no-SQL based persistance solutions for the web. Seibo also invited Javier Hector from Argentina to the conference. Javier has participated in some of Seibos open source projects .

On May 11 2011 the foundation Swedish Institute for Drug Informatics (SIDI) was registered. Seibo has together with professor Lars L. Gustafsson of Karolinska Institutet (KI) formed the foundation and Seibo has transferred all rights to the source code for the semantic search engine Drugle to SIDI. Seibo believes that SIDI will be an important and contributing actor in research and development of drug informatics and medical decision systems. Above all SIDI will be able to promote the creation and free sharing of correct information on medical drugs.

Seibo has been invited to participate in the e-SPC project at EMA (the European Medicines Agency) and provide consulting expertise in the areas of of drug informatics and software development. On Oktober 27, 2009, Daniel Rodríguez and Paul Cohen from Seibo participated in a workshop for the e-SPC project in EMA:s offices in London. Seibo presented the semantic search engine for drug information that they have developed together with professor Lars L. Gustafsson of KI (Karolinska Institutet), and presented some of their experiences and conclusions from the work done on digital analysis and indexing of SPC:s (Summary of Product Characteristics) from EMA, the Swedish Medical Products Agency, the British MHRA and the Spanish Medical Products Agency. Seibo will continue to provide consulting expertise in the areas of of drug informatics and software development to the e-SPC project.

The department of clinical pharmacology at the Karolinska Institutet has signed a contract with Seibo for continued development of the search engine Drugle. The next development iteration will add features to the user interface and add more indexed quality-assured Internet sources of producer-independent drug information. The aim of Drugle is to provide healthcare professionals, researchers, students and the general public with a simple yet powerful Internet search engine for quality-assured and producer-independent pharmacological and drug-related information. Taxosoft is a system for searching and managing animal and plant names. The Taxosoft project is sponsored by Seibo and has been developed with the intent to show how a modern web based support systems for terminology and complex information models can be developed with REST API:s, distribute data management and effective search algorithms. Seibo has signed a long term partnership deal with the MWM group. Seibo will provide MWM with resources for development of media production related software products. Among other things Seibo will assist MWM with the development of the next generation of the MWM system, which is one of MWM’s core software products for newspaper production planning, monotoring and distribution.

Seibo becomes the official distributor in Sweden for Eiffel Software. Seibo will also provide first line support for Eiffel Software’s flagship product EiffelStudio to Swedish customers. Among Seibo’s support customers are the Swedish National Landsurvey (Lantmäteriet), the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) and the Stockholm City Council (Stockholms Läns Landsting).
